FABERGE: OPENS FIRST NEW YORK BOUTIQUE
Just received news of Faberge’s first New York Boutique, and skimming through the press release at high speed before OOOHH and AHHHing at a selection of attached imagery, the words JOAN and RIVERS are just screaming for attention. Joan bloody Rivers! Nestled in a long and fabulous list of American collectors, that must have been encouragement enough to set up shop in stateside. Exceptionally grand shop at that. Located at 694 Madison Avenue, the boutique’s interior is decorated with silk wall panelling and curtains, and brushed oak flooring with a painted accenting, punctuated by a rich button backed wall that ‘subtly evokes Romanov splendour’. An incredible addition to stores already existing in Geneva on the Rue du Rhone, and of course in London’s Mayfair. We’ll be making a bee-line as soon as the 10 Towers jet next hits JFK, for a lengthly browse of the brands high and fine jewellery, hand made time pieces, cufflinks and silver collections. Isn’t life tough?

“I feel that any chance to travel is a chance to tell another story with photos. I’ve been to Greece a few times, and I’ve found the people and landscape to be endlessly compelling. I recently traveled to Ireland, and there too, the amazing people and landscape blew me away. Interestingly, there seemed to be many parallels between the two places despite the temperate and language differences. I long to visit India and Asia, and hope to make some trips to those places soon.”
